Hello. I’ve done labiaplasty and because of the way the majora looks after reducing the inner labia I just can’t stand the outcome. I wish the surgeon had advice me that changing it would make my outer ones look like that... I wouldn’t have done! What can I do regarding my labia majora? Seeking for non invasive options like surgery.
Answer: Feminine Rejuvenation Hi Bicha,What bothers you about your labia majora? Without an exam it's hard to have perspective on the quality of the tissues and to discuss in depth what your concerns are. Oftentimes, after reduction of the labia minora, our eyes are drawn to the surrounding visible area. During my consultations I discuss the labia majora, the mons and perineum to ensure we address all areas of concern and can set a plan to complete the treatment to transformation. If your labia majora are lax or ptotic (meaning that you feel you've lost some volume) options to provide labial puff, such as hyaluronic acid filler or sculptra can help restore the lost volume. If there is excess skin, perhaps a labia majora reduction would be best to reduce the length of tissue, typically done through an incision on the inner part of the labia. We love using Viveve externally, which relys on cryogen-cooled radiofrequency, to improve the collagen in the labia majora tissues which provides a less wrinkled appearance. I hope this helps and gives you a few options for ways to address your concerns. Best of luck!

Answer: A labia minoraplasty will in no way change the size and appearance of the labia majora (outer lips.) Your inner lips labiaplasty in no way changed the outer lips. They were always as you now see them-- you just didn't notice when all you saw was the huge inner lips. Absolutely no change caused by your labiaplasty. The labia majora are just more noticeable now...What to do? Well, you could have a non-invasive option (RF, ThermiVa...) which requires 3 separate treatments 1 month apart, costs ~ US$2000-$2500 for each series in the U.S., and lasts ~ 8-10 months. That means, if you keep up the non-invasive option for 10 years, after that time you will have spent ~US$30-40,000, gone to the doctor 45 separate times, and after 10 years and all this expenditure look exactly the same as you do now, except worse since you will have aged. The ONLY ONE who benefits from this option is the doctor's office, which is why doctors who do not have the surgical skills to perform a proper labia majoraplasty market and tout so-called "non-invasive options." (And, yes, I own both a laser and a RF device, both of which I use happily for other options, including temporary non-invasive treatment of urinary incontinence.) Or, you could spend US$5-6,000 one time for a specialized but easy-to-recover from surgery (easier than your labiaplasty), and be done with the problem once and for all! You decide... (duhhh...)

Answer: Vulvoplasty I believe you are concerned with the size of the labia majora, which are the larger lips on the outer sides of the inner lips (the labia minora). You just had the labiaplasty (labia minora) and your photo just shows the labia majora, which appear to be hanging too low. This would suggest that they are stretched with extra skin and fall down. If this is your concern, then there is a procedure called a vulvoplasty that can reduce the skin so they don't hang down so much. It needs to be done by a specialist cosmetic vaginal surgeon, so be careful in selecting a surgeon. The scars need to be hidden within the creases so they are not seen. This is the way I perform the procedure as I had developed it. You can learn more on the link below. Good luck.
