Thanks for your question. It will take a few weeks for enough swelling to go down to know better. Without seeing a preop pic it is hard to tell.

Thank you for the question and pictures. Unfortunately, despite good intentions, online consultants will not be able to help you much with your anxiety. Given that you are only 8 days out of surgery, continued time, patience, and follow up with your plastic surgeon are your “best friends”. Only time will tell whether your breast asymmetry will be improved and whether or not you will be pleased with the long-term outcome of the procedure performed. Best wishes.

barely a week after surgery is too early to have much of a guess about final
results. It takes at least a week or two for the initial post-op swelling to
subside, and several weeks to a few months for the implants to correctly settle
into the surgical pockets. Only by about 3-6 months after surgery will you have
a clearer idea of what your new figure will look like. In the meantime, know
that it’s totally normal to feel nervous about your results, but it’s also
normal for breasts to look a little uneven right after surgery.

I'm sorry you're dealing with anxiety. It's not uncommon for it to take three to six months before swelling is completely gone. I know you want a more specific answer, but what you need is time and patience. You are still very early postoperatively and at this time there is no way to predict a final result. Stay consistent with your surgical team's care plan for you. Do your follow up care and you will achieve your best possible result. I hope you enjoy your outcome.

it is normal to be anxious but you need to wait closer to 3 months to really assess the results of your breast surgery. it is completely normal for the two sides to look quite different in the first several weeks after breast surgery.david berman md
