Hello, iss CoolSculpting a good non invasive alternative for me? I am considering have CoolSculpting done in my after c section pooch. It's been 10 months since my last c sections, I eat healthy and i workout but nothing seems get my flat tummy again! I am 5'2 and 103lb, 35 years old and 2 c sections. I visit 2 med, one of the told me I don’t need tummy tuck bc is a very small area, and other suggested laser lipo (but I can’t afford it it was like 8 thousand). So heard about CoolSculpting and also seems more affordable, but does it work?

CoolSculpting is a great minimally invasive non-surgical way to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to exercise especially around the abdomen. It definitely works and the results are permanent. CoolSculpting works by freezing your fat cells, which are then naturally eliminated from your body in the weeks following your treatment. That said it will not get rid of loose or excess skin. If you are looking to get rid of loose skin you may be a better candidate for a tummy tuck. I highly recommend that you book an in-person complimentary consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or a certified CoolSculpting provider in order to assess what procedure would be the best for you.

If your goal is to get rid of that stubborn fat so as to reduce the shelf from the scar, but are otherwise happy with the rest of your body then by all means you should give a try. You'll get good results while avoiding the downtime and risk of surgery. If you have small problem areas you can use non invasive methods like Coolsculpting with Vanquish or trusculpt iD to get small areas of fat reduced. Skin also tightens if you combine this with Exilis Ultra, Venus Legacy, and Inmode Forma/Contoura radiofrequency treatments. You boost the results from Coolsculpting if you add in Kybella injections to melt fat as well. We often combine Coolsculpting with shockwave therapy like ZWave, EVIVE, and Cellutone to get even faster results, more improvement, and less risk of combinations like nodules, swelling, neuropathy or paradoxical hyperplasia. Hi.  Thanks for the question and the photos.Yes, you are a good candidate for CS.  Each treatment will reduce the fat 20-25%.  You will need multiple treatments.  You may always have a bit of an overhang, because your scar is pulling your skin in, making the pooch look worse than it is.  Lipo with skin tightening with J-plasma is a good alternative, but will likely be more expensive.Best of luck.Michael Kerin MDKerin MedSpa

Thank you for your questions about CoolSculpting.  You may have a better option.
Both SculpSure and CoolSculpting are FDA Approved for permanent fat reduction.  While the results should be somewhat similar, the method of action and post care is completely different.  SculpSure has a Sapphire cooling tip keeping the skin and nerves cool while the 1060 nm laser heats the fat cells for 25 minutes.    While the cooling is constant, the heating period oscillates to keep the fat at the correct temperature.  Patients report only minor discomfort during the heating periods.  After the treatment, the laser heads are docked and the applicator frames are removed.  The patient only has to get dressed and go back to their normal activities.  Since the laser heat energy spreads, unlike freezing, there is no risk of shark bites.
CoolSculpting is cryolipolysis where it freezes fat cells for 60 minutes.  The applicator is attached to the treatment area and a vacuum is introduced, sucking the area up into the applicator to be frozen.  Please read the other reviews about the comfort of this procedure.  There is a significant risk of temporary to permanent nerve damage.  Once the 60 minutes of freezing is over, the patient has to massage the area back into place for the next 1 to 4 weeks.
We chose SculpSure for patient comfort and reduced level of complications.  I hope this helps.
