Yesterday, I finally came straight forward to my neurologist about me wanting to get cosmetic surgery, she said that my disease can’t prevent me from getting it done but that I should speak to my surgeon in her end. I need help, I really want to get this procedure done but I want to get answers before anything.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance from your neurologist prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Please talk to your primary doctor to get clearance for plastic surgery and then I suggest you book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the best options for your goals.

You will for sure need medical clearance from your neurologist.
If your condition is mild and surgery is unlikely to trigger worsening of your symptoms then it may be reasonable to have cosmetic surgery.

You may or may not be a good candidate for the procedure. You didn’t post pictures.

I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons at which point you can talk about your medical history.

For sure they’ll want clearance from your rheumatologist so if your rheumatologist feels like you are stable to have elective cosmetic surgery then this may be a possibility for you.
