Yesterday, I finally came straight forward to my neurologist about me wanting to get cosmetic surgery, she said that my disease can’t prevent me from getting it done but that I should speak to my surgeon in her end. I need help, I really want to get this procedure done but I want to get answers before anything.

Answer: Cosmetic surgery with multiple sclerosis You will for sure need medical clearance from your neurologist. If your condition is mild and surgery is unlikely to trigger worsening of your symptoms then it may be reasonable to have cosmetic surgery. You may or may not be a good candidate for the procedure. You didn’t post pictures. I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons at which point you can talk about your medical history. For sure they’ll want clearance from your rheumatologist so if your rheumatologist feels like you are stable to have elective cosmetic surgery then this may be a possibility for you.
