You do not need to wait any amount of time to being using low level laser therapy (LLLT) as a treatment of your hair loss after having a PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injection. These two methods work in different ways to help prevent further hair loss. It is often thought that using several methods together will have more of a benefit than using either one alone. While using LLLT there is nothing that you need to avoid. It is important to be consistent in its use to benefit from the full effect of the laser therapy.
You can do these treatments immediately after. Prp is effective, but I have a very specific protocol, every 3-4 weeks for 6 months with prp therapy. I also add in progesterone to speed the healing process. After that the injections are tailored down. You should also be on viviscal and other growth promoting ingredients. We suggest that you wait 24 hours after a PRP treatment before beginning low level laser treatment. In addition, a warm shower and shampoo is suggested on the night of the treatment with massage to decrease any soreness. Good luck!
