I found out in 3 different centers and 2 of them offer Selphyl and another one Eclipse. Are these 2 good ones or there is something better in your experience. In other words what is the best one apart from these 2 mentioned Thanks
Answer: Eclipse PRP I looked at different systems before deciding that the science behind Eclipse PRP was more sound than other systems mentioned. I do tell my patients that 2-3 sessions over 3 months are needed to see a noticeable improvement.Furthermore; not every one responds to the treatments. The are only a few scientific articles showing efficacy of PRP in aiding hair growth. I am very honest with my patients and don't promise things that I may not be able to deliver. We know that platelets and growth factors and circulating stem cells have a role and can be helpful in stimulating hair growth. We can harvest, concentrate, and inject these cells into the right locations (close to the hair follicle). The next step would be a way to "turn these cells on" and allow them to do what they do best; namely stimulate the follicles and promote growth. Those "keys" to turn the cells are are not fully worked out yet. We apply the concentrated cells and hope for the best. There are many types of hair loss ( androgenetic, traction alopecia, hormonal, genetic hair loss, medication related and pregnancy related hair loss, traumatic and many more). Some respond better than other to PRP. The bottom line is that we (as physicians) are still learning. I hope this was helpful and that PRP helps you grow and maintain your hair.

Answer: Best and most efficient way to collect PRP ? There are many systems that are good for proper concentration of PRP. Both Eclipse and selphyl are good systems as well as Magellan, Encyte and a few others. We use Eclipse for hair restoration.

Answer: Which PRP system is best? Englewood Cliffs New Jersey Selphyl and Eclipse are the two systems that produce PRP that is low in red and white cells and therefore most suitable for hair restoration. Selphyl produces a lower platelet concentration than Eclipse. Selphyl is usually activated and this is not helpful. Eclipse produces three to four times platelet concentration. Many hair restoration experts feel that this is the so-called sweet spot. There are other systems that produce higher concentrations of platelets. However, these include red and white cells which are better for Orthopedics but not great for hair restoration. There exists many variables in selecting a PRP Center other than the system. For example, training in hair evaluation, injection technique, use of combination therapy and experience. Find a PRP expert. Ask to see photos. Jeff Rapaport MD Core Aesthetic Realself

Answer: What is the best and most efficient method to collect PRP in order to be injected into the scalp? You will find that there are differences in opinion about the best PRP to use for hair stimulation. Physicians are getting good results with all the different types of PRP. I suggest that you have multiple consultations with providers and make your decision about which provider you would like to have the procedure with. Discuss the various options with them at your consultation.

Answer: PRP There’s no go evidence any machine is better than another. However the volume of blood harvested probably does matter. Some machines require 10-20 mL from the patient others like Angel take up to 180 mL. PRP is a buyer beware market. We are all moving forward with uncertainty both patient and doctor.
