Is it safe to have Juvederm to the lips 2 weeks after breast augmentation revision?

I had breast augmentation revision 2 weeks ago. Is it safe to have juvederm injections to the lips 2 weeks after the surgery date? I typically have the injections every 6 months. I was worried it could cause inflammation / capsular contracture / some type of infection ( I have heard there is some relation between juvederm and strep). Thanks!

There should be no real complications with fillers two weeks after surgery. To be safe, make sure you disclose any medications and supplements that you're taking to the doctor before your injection. Some medications and supplements can reduce clotting which could lead to more bruising. But in general, there should be no issues with having the filler.

Hi.  Juvederm is a sterile product.  It is safe to inject in the post-operative period, following your breast surgery, without worries.

Thanks for your question – and certainly 2 weeks after a breast augmentation you may have Juvederm or any filler in the lip or any part of the face.  Again, a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon should be doing the injections – they are the most skilled here.

There is no problem at all to get your lips filled now, or at the time of the procedure.  My preference is now Restylane Silk.  It is a smoother filler, with less pain, less lumps.

Having a lip filler procedure should not impact your previous breast augmentation. Women have this done all the time.

When done with sterile technique by an experienced injector, there should be no issues with receiving juvederm lip injections 2 weeks after breast augmentation.  Consult your doctor about your concerns before proceeding with the treatments to make sure you feel comfortable with the procedure.  Good luck!

Juvederm comes in a sterile syringe and would not affect strep, so I'm not sure where that information came from. Also, it would have no affect on your breast surgery and sometimes procedures like these are even done at the same time. So you are good to go.
