I had my first filler done on my nose bridge many years back. Had a second one done few months back. But the second filler had caused the nose bridge to be broaden. It looks very thick and swollen. It looks like a big water bubble in between my eyes. It is very obvious a bad filler job done. 1. Can i dissolve the filler 2. What is the down time, will the process cause my nose bridge to swell furthe? 3. Is it dangerous ? 4. How soon after can i enhance my nose bridge again after that?

Hi and thanks for your question. Using enzyme to dissolve hyaluronic acid is a safe, easy and quick procedure. There should not be any swelling. Bruising is possible, but rare. The enzyme should take a day or two to work. However, all this only applies if the filler used was a hyaluronic acid based filler. If Radiesse or Bellafill was used, these fillers cannot be dissolved. Hope that helps.

Many people will come to our office after a non-surgical nose job and request rhinoplasty surgery. When that happens, we may ask somebody to have their temporary gel filler dissolved. Hi nicobowen ac,Yes, if the filler was hyalronic acid, it can be safely dissolved. There is typically not much downtime, although bruising and swelling are possible for a few days. It is also not uncommon to need more than one session to completely dissolve the filler. Once you are happy with the amount dissolved, you should wait ~2 weeks before adding more filler to the area.

Yes, as long as the filler used was an HA filler, if you are unhappy with your results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase. It may take a series of treatments. With any injections, there can be some swelling, which can last 1-2 weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Non-surgical rhinoplasty requires a very experienced and technically adept injector.  Despite our greatest efforts filler can disperse to places where it was not injected.  There is a technique that minimizes this undesirable result.  Fortunately temporary fillers  can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Bellafill and Radiesse may be reduced with other injections. Repeat injection of filler can performed with Radiesse once the swelling has subsided if a hyaluronic acid was utilized.  Please consult in person with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon prior to making treatment decisions.

Sorry to hear of your concern.  It is critical for you to find out the filler that was used for your nasal bridge augmentation.  While hyaluronic acid fillers (restylane, juvederm, voluma...) can be dissolved by injecting an enzyme, other fillers cannot and slowly resorb over time.  Unfortunately, radiesse is a very popular filler for non surgical rhinoplasty but does not respond to injections that will dissolve other common fillers.  Make certain to contact your provider to learn which filler was used.  Then seek out an expert injector.  Good luck!
