I've had 2 rhinoplasty's and still very unhappy with my nose. Will fillers help with the alar creases and if so how risky are they for the nose?
Answer: A permanent non-surgical nose job may be considered for filling deep supraalar creases after rhinoplasty. In our practice, we specialize in permanent non-surgical nose job treatments utilizing microdroplet Silikon-1000, a permanent soft tissue filler. We have had excellent success filling in deep superhaler creases after previous rhinoplasty surgery. Additionally, we have also had lovely success in improving upon nostril asymmetry after rhinoplasty surgery. I hope this helps, and thank you for this question! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Alar Crease Augmentation Lovely, With a history of two prior rhinoplasties your nose has more fibrotic attachments than a nose that did not have surgery. Without knowing the extent of your surgeries, it would be hard for any physician to comment on the risk involved. However, it is safe to say that fibrosis often has a more tenuous blood supply than healthy native tissue. Also, fibrosis makes placement of filler more difficult since the attachments prevent flow of the material in a reliable way. I would consult with an experienced rhinosurgeon for further evaluation and discussion of all your treatment options. Best of luck!Dr. Doshi

Answer: Filler post Rhinoplasty This is a great question. After two rhinoplasties and satisfactory results, I recommend finding an expert injector, MD, who will correct your nasal alae and other minor defects with a hyaluronic acid filler that can be dissolved if necessary. The risk of further surgery outweighs this minor correction. All the best to you. Alexis Parker MD
