Answer: Always best to check with your surgeon's protocol. I advise my patients all ok at that time. I advise my patients the following: Your timeframe for returning to work depends on what your job entails. More than 90 percent of my patients go back to work on the fifth day after their cosmetic breast surgery if they work in an office setting. Women who must use their arms to lift, push or pull (such as nurses, hairstylists or waitresses) normally return to work toward the end of the second week, around the 14th day after surgery. Three weeks after surgery, it’s OK for you to do aerobic activity (treadmill, stationary bike, etc.), running and lower-body weight training. Women are usually comfortable doing arm exercises (upper-body weights) starting about six weeks after surgery. Among my patients are Triple Crown bodybuilders and kickboxers who go back into competition after getting implants. They start with light training at six weeks and heavier training after eight weeks. Answer: Camping 8 weeks after breast surgery Thanks for your inquiry, in general if you have a had an uncomplicated recovery most of my patients would be able to hike, some camping, and swimming in cleaner water sources like pools, ocean--but not stagnant lakes, ponds, etc. Please ask your surgeon to advise--good luck.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Nkas954, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Activity restrictions 8 weeks post breast augmentation Hi and welcome to our forum! Each plastic surgeon has an individual post surgical protocol which is developed through years of training and life experience. As such, there is no rule set in stone. It is best to specifically ask your surgeon this question. Depending upon the weight of the camping backpack, you still might still be a bit sore. Recreational swimming and hiking should be no problem. Best wishes...
