I am 6 weeks out from my VASER liposuction of outter thighs, inner thighs, lower abdomen and flanks. I'm worried because I see zero change. I feel like I look the exact same as I did when I went in and I weigh the same. No one has even noticed or complimented me. Also, I am lumpy and bumpy in my stomach area (which I hear is normal). I have also noticed that my skin is darker on flanks and outter thighs. It almost looks like a birth mark but is not a bruise anymore. Will all of this resolve?
Answer: Vaser liposuction results Hi, 6 weeks is too soon to see results because swelling and bruising may persist up to 8 weeks. Please be patient as you can usually begin to see #results 2-4 months later as the swelling continues to diminish and contours become more defined, but improvement will continue for 4–6 months as swelling and irregularities resolve. These contours can even improve throughout the year after surgery. Also, the suctioned area may feel “lumpy” and irregular as you heal. This decreases with time and massaging those areas will hasten their softening. It is best to strictly follow the prescribed aftercare for best results and do not hesitate to contact your surgeon if you have any more concern. Best of luck! #RealSelf100

Answer: 6 weeks post VASER Without Results you should notice results immediately, although you do see results improve in 3-6 months my patients see these changes right away. If you are not happy please speak to your physician or go to a full hi definition body shaping expert to evaluate if you need a more hi definition contouring procedure that really shapes and defines you. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Vaser results At 6 weeks you should definitely see significant improvement. Vaser is a fantastic device but it will not overcome poor technique and poor training. Please discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Answer: Healing post Vaser liposuction Thank you for your question.Result of any body sculpting procedure including Vaser liposuction depend on many factors: how much fat was removed, what your body shape was before surgery (if you were already not too bad in shape before surgery any liposuction will not alter your silhouette noticeably).Skin thickness and elasticity -thinner skin will re-drape post surgery less favourably. Type of body sculpting you had- High definition gives more contouring leaving almost only skin and muscle behind. De-bulking Vaser will just reduce thickness of adipose tissue layer. In a study of 100 patients followed up after Vaser operation in our clinic we identified following regarding recovery, swelling, lumpiness can last up to 42 days , any residual unevenness after that is unlikely to change significantly-so contact your surgeon to assess the situation and plan action to remedy.Unevenness is possible after any type of liposuction and Vaser is not an exception , although considered to have less risk of that.Skin discolouration (darkening, mottling or hypo-pigmentation) is common again after any liposuction in people of skin types 3 to 6 (darker skin tones). It tends to improve but might take longer than 6 months.
