Can Laser Genesis damage my skin 1 month after a mechanical dermabrasion ?

Hi, I am a 23 old man and I did a mecanical dermabrasion on my forehead 3 weeks ago but now I have large pores and some redness. Therefore I would like to know if I can do some laser genesis on it to get rid of my large pores and my redness ? My bigger problem is more my large pore than my redness. I also would like to know if this non ablative laser could damage my new skin since I did dermabrasion ? Please apologise me for my english, I am french. Thank you to reading me. Damien.

Hi Damien.  We use Genesis when we are trying to control background redness, pigmentation, mild acne and acne scarring in patients of all skin types and color.   This is a treatment that must be used in a series as only one will underwhelm you.  The more you do, the more all these conditions will improve.  I would never sell it as a pore reducer, although the fibroblast proliferation that occurs with Genesis treatments should smooth and tighten skin over the entire face.

Laser Genesis will certainly help to reduce your redness and pore size, but keep in mind that it will take anywhere from 3-5 treatments so you will need to manage your expectations. I would suggest that you schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to be examined in person and discuss if this is the best laser for your needs.
