Revision was done 2 months ago
Answer: BB Revision Thank you for you question and picture. I would wait a full year prior to any revision. This will allow the scar to mature. In the meantime, scar massage and sunscreen are your best friends.

Answer: Belly buttom, some advices: Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us. You do not have to worry, always something can be done.2 months after Tummy Tuck it's not enough to express a valid opinion of finals results. To reduce abdominal and belly button swelling, I recommend daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy 5 times at week for the next two months, and wear a postoperative girdle for two months at least. If the navel problem persists after 3 months, send us your photos, to give you more information about how we can solve this problem.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Belly button after tummy tuck The revision was done two months ago. Typically it takes scars 18 months to fully mature. Your scar is more noticeable now because of the red discoloration. This should subside to a skin colored line. The appearance may be more acceptable once this occurs. Otherwise, it will be difficult to improve surgically because the circle scar radius is large. I think it will improve on its own.

Answer: Belly button Umbilical stalk left is very narrow leading to a small umbilical opening. One option would be to tether the umbilical stalk down to the muscle fascia in order to make the umbilicus less protruding. Another option is to make a radial incision to widen the umbilicus.

Answer: Belly button revision For a revised belly button scar, or most scar revisions in general, I often will encourage patients to wait 6-12 months before judging it. Scars often take over a year to fully mature. As your body refines the scar tissue collagen, scar often soften. The small capllaries that initially permit healing usually shrink and look less inflamed and red. If the scar is very pink, I may send the patient to a Derm for laser at around 2 - 3 months. If the patient forms keloids - that can be much more difficult to treat.
