Constant redness of nose due to silicone injection. Any suggestions?

Our office specializes in the removal and reconstruction of
soft tissue related to the injection of liquid silicone. We have removed
silicone from the face and body with outstanding success.  This allows patients to resume their normal
lives without the interference of the silicone inflammation.  During your consultation, a careful
examination of the soft tissue is required to determine whether the removal is
safe.  Not all patients are candidates
for surgical removal.

If you're having redness of your nose, you could consult a reputable dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon to see if you are a candidate for laser or light treatments. In our practice, we use a Palomar StarLux IPL machine with a green handpiece to diminish unwanted nasal redness.Hope this helps you.Dr. Joseph

In some people there can be some redness in the area of injection. Generally, it is temporary. I have rarely seen it persist. Likely it is just part of the skin's reaction, although not a serious reaction to the presence of the filler. Some people have had some relief when a steroid cream is placed onto the skin and absorbed to calm it down. Most of the time it goes away. In those cases in which it persists and there is no evidence of infection such as pain, swelling, soreness, and increasing redness, there may be help from some laser treatments by a qualified specialist. However, that should be reserved only after months have elapsed and the nose is given a chance to "settle down" after the silicone injection. Note that once that redness appears, I would not recommend putting anymore silicone into that area less the redness stay even longer.
