I had a S lift and kneck lift and two weeks later my ears look completely different it’s hard to see on the pictures but the lobe is long on one and one is more back than the other. Am I going to have to go through surgery again to try and fix it? I don’t think I can handle another surgery…and should the surgeon fix my this? I also have a ‘air’ pocket on the side of my head where a stitch was.

There is data that shows a higher chance of relapse with dissolvable sutures. Some surgeons use dissolvable sutures to avoid the small chance of the permanent sutures spitting through the skin. I use mostly permanent sutures in my practice to reduce the chance of the ears popping back out with time.
