Hi there! I am a 32 year old looking for a labiaplasty and hood reduction. Long story short I had an abusive childhood, and was finally seen by a OBGYN at age 15. I was supposed to have labia removed that was significantly torn at the same time I had some cervix removed. I ended up with holes, thick scar tissue, balls of tissue that was attached out of place, and unevenness. I got divorced over 2 years ago and can’t not date because of this. I use piercing cleaners to clean the holes or it hurts
Answer: Heavy rough stitching When a labiaplasty is closed with large sutures that are sewn in a baseball type fashion, the labia can have notches and grooves and piercings through it along the closure. You needn’t ask for a specific technique, just a very specific surgeon. The best way to find this type of surgeon is to look at all of there photos: there should be hundreds. And their videos: similarly hundreds of cases and results that you like, that look nice to you. And their reviews. Hundreds. There are a wide range of normal appearing labia that don’t need a labiaplasty. When the labia minora have been cut and sewn improperly and indelicately, then a revision is needed to smooth out the edges. Sutures should be placed as small and delicately as possible and your results can still be a very fine thin labia after removal of all scar tissue. Everyone deserves to have the body that is the best version of themselves.

Answer: Revision labiaplasty needed I am sorry that you are having to go through this. From the images, unfortunately, it looks like the outcome of your surgery was not optimal. It appears that a bottom-to-top Barbie doll trimming technique was used, resulting in an abrupt, unnatural cut. The incorrect sutures used were not removed promptly, which created a finger-like appearance with visible holes. The recommended approach would be a labiaplasty revision procedure to reshape and improve the current appearance. The goal would be to remove the finger-like appearance, even out the area, and eliminate any excess tissue, especially around the cleft, for a more satisfactory outcome. We offer virtual consultations at my practice however if you are looking for someone local to your area, I highly advise consulting with a board certified cosmetic gynecologist that specializes in vaginal rejuvenation procedures specifically. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Labiaplasty and Clitoral aesthetic Hello, Thank you for sharing your story. I understand this is a sensitive and challenging situation for you. As a genital aesthetic surgeon, I've encountered similar cases, and I want to assure you that there are effective solutions available. Firstly, I'm sorry to hear about your past experiences. It's important to approach your case with care and precision, especially given the history of trauma and subsequent surgeries. Labiaplasty and clitoral hood reduction are procedures designed to address issues like asymmetry, discomfort, and the presence of scar tissue. In your case, it sounds like a reconstructive approach may be necessary to not only enhance aesthetic appearance but also to reduce discomfort and improve functionality. Our goal would be to carefully remove the excess scar tissue and reshape the area to achieve a more natural and symmetrical appearance, while also taking care to minimize future scarring and discomfort. I recommend creating a personalized treatment plan. You've taken a brave step by considering this procedure. Warm regards, Dr. Mehmet Bekir SENGenital Aesthetic Surgeon"

Answer: Labia reconstruction As the inventor and innovator of the wedge technique in 1994, I reconstruct many women who have had labia reductions by other surgeons, both wedge and trimming techniques. You have a severe deformity. The reconstruction is more difficult than a primary labiaplasty and should be done by a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in labia reconstruction. I published the first and most extensive paper on labia reconstruction in the prestigious journal "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" about ten years ago, and about 40% of my female genital surgeries are reconstructions of botched labiaplasties. You will need various reconstructive techniques to give you a good appearance. I need better photos which include your entire clitoral hood and the bottom of your vagina in order to determine the best way to reconstruct you. If you have enough clitoral hood, I probably would recommend clitoral hood flaps to reconstruct your labia. You only get one good chance to reconstruct you, so ask a lot of questions. Gary J. Alter, M.D. Beverly Hills, CA - Manhattan, NYC
