I'm 48 years old and am menopausal. I am receiving HRT with pellets. I feel very loose down there during sex. I also have noticed that the appearance of my vagina has changed. To me to looks and feels like the lips have shrunk. My question is if I were to have a vaginal tightening surgery, would this also address how it feels inside? I would love for my vagina to look tighter on the outside but I have read some people's reviews and they say they don't feel a difference during sex post surgery.
Answer: Vaginoplasty Hello, thank you for the question. the vaginal laxity and pelvic muscles laxity might increase by aging. To feel better during sex both the vagina and the pelvic muscles should be addressed. if you have vaginal tightening surgery just at the entrance of the vagina, (Perineoplasty only) that would not make much difference, but f you have a surgery which will tighten at least 10 cm of the vaginal canal you will feel better at sex. I would also recommend you Emsella treatment which will make your muscles stronger and that will help for urinary incotinence prevention, anal incontinence prevention and tighten the vaginal muscles.

Answer: Vaginal Tightening Hi, thank you for your question. Vaginal tightening involves creating small incisions to join loose vaginal muscles and shorten them, as well as tightening the vaginal opening through dissolvable sutures. This surgery is meant to improve sensation (and appearance) for patients who find that intercourse has been impacted by aging and/or childbirth. Ultimately, everyone will have a different experience post-surgery, and your best option is to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to address your particular concerns.

Answer: You probably would not feel tighter after surgery If the sensation of tightness is important, your best bet is doing Kegels exercises or seeing a pelvic floor specialist. Also, surgery will not lengthen the labia. Many women do Kegels incorrectly and there are a lot of good devices and apps that can help with this, such as the Bodyotics Pelvic Floor exerciser.

Answer: Does vaginal rejuvenation change how sex feels Thank you for your questionThe effects of vaginal "tightening" procedures depends on what procedure is being performed. The vagina is connected on six sides(entrance, apex, upper or bladder side, lower or rectal side, and two lateral sides. Each of these areas can have stretching or tearing. There is no procedure called "vaginal rejuvenation " or "vaginoplasty"(except when referring to the making of a new vagina) . These are the effects of any of several procedures that can be performed and each doctor defines these differently. Your results will depend on where the tears and defects are and which procedures are performed. The results of these different procedures vary and that is why people describe varying results. I suggest you find a surgeon who performs "site specific defect repair " which treats each of the defects separately and who evaluates the six aspects of the vagina mentioned above. Do your homework and check out reviews to best get the results you are looking for. so yes, If you find the right surgeon who will perform the repairs required you can definitely feel tighter . Tightening just the perineum (entrance) only addresses part of the problem and you will probably be disappointed if the insides are not treated.
