Thank you for your question.Every state has different requirements on who can perform certain laser procedures. I would recommend seeing what the qualifications are for your specific state. To be sure, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for acomplete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe foryou to have treatment.I hope this helps.
This applies in Australia as well. There is a huge variation of who can use laser and RF equipment. Additionally there are restrictions on the power usage of different companies. For example for eMatrix RF, some states limit the mJ or power to 50 per pin, others to 80 mj per pin, but for certain practices in Australia, our machine can deliver 100mJ per pin. I hope this answers your question and takes the answer one step further.Best wishesDr Davin LimLaser DermatologistAustralia
Licensing and procedures vary from state to state. Some states only allow NPs or doctors to perform certain types of procedures; other states allow anyone, as long as they are under the license of a practicing physician. So, it will depend on your state for who is allowed to do what. You can contact your state licensing board for specifics. I think this is quite an easy solution, however the treatment will involve fully ablative laser (I like erbium), coupled with CO2 Fractional. If need at the end, filler will enhance volume, esp tear trough areas. Have a look at my before and afters - eyes and you will get an idea of what is...
There is no contraindication with taking antibiotics and Fraxel laser. Caution though that some antibiotics are photosensitive and you have to be even more careful in the sun. Best, Dr. Green
