Thank you for your question. Fat loss on our face can be due to weight loss or natural aging process. Volume loss can be replaced by fillers such as Voluma, which is an FDA approved for cheek fat loss and last up to 2 years. I hope this helps!
Thanks for your question. The Emerge 1410 nm fractional laser does not penetrate into the fat, so if you are noticing changes here, they most likely were present before the fractional laser. The Emerge is a non-ablative fractional laser which treats line and wrinkles and penetrates only into the dermis. Consult with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon or the equivalent in your country to see what is going on and how it can best be corrected.
Unfortunately I agree with Dr Gold, the laser does not penetrate deeper than the mid dermis. We base or findings on both physics and the clinical findings. Have I seen fat loss due to lasers and energy devices? Yes I have. The ones that can do this will penetrate into the fat layer. Only 1% of energy devices are powerful enough to do this. The 1410 Emerge is NOT one of them. Dr Davin S. Lim.

Thank you for your question. Fractional lasers should not directly cause hair loss, however scar tissue may interfere with hair growth. I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. We recommend doing so with a mild cleanser such as Cetaphil, but you should follow your Physician's specific instructions. When washing initially, splash water on your face and then pat dry - no rubbing. I hope this helps!
