Are my eyes too close set? What can be done to fix it? (Photo)

Many people said that my eyes are very close set. i really don`t like this since my childhood! Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Or even make the illusion of wider set eyes? And how can it be done and what would it cost?

Thank you for your question. Large eyes that are widely spaced apart tend to characterize an attractive female face while deep set eyes on a rectangular face shape tend to characterize an attractive male face. Eyelid surgery can create a more youthful and rejuvenate look. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

The appearance is not abnormal, except perhaps to the person.  Surgery is not appropriate except in extreme cases of hypertelorism.  The appearance can be improved by judicious injections.

Distances between the eyes are established quite early on and relate to our facial boney anatomy.  Unless an injury, tumor, etc. causes a difference in the distance,  most of us have a normal degree of separation and spacing.  You may want to see a local Plastic Surgeon who specializes in this to give you a proper opinion about this.Good luck to you.Frank Rieger M.D.  Tampa Plastic Surgeon
