There is nothing inherently special or superior about "aqua-lipo". It's just one particular form of liposuction. The other forms of liposuction work just as well. It's more about the surgeon and their skill and experience, not the cannula. If I gave you Leonardo da Vinci's paintbrush, for example, would you suddenly paint a Mona Lisa? Of course not. Don't buy into the marketing hype.Since you are in Florida, the maximum fat that can be removed is 4 liters.Honestly, I would suggest weight loss first, then keep the lipo for later, to get the stubborn fat. Perhaps you could consider using one of the FDA-approved weight loss medications, like Qsymia, for a while. We've had good success with this in our practice. Then lipo, when you closer to your goal weight.
Liposuction - regardless of the specific technology - will remove fat under the skin. This can improve your contours but if you have lax skin, that will remain. So in your case, you may consider an abdominoplasty either as a second procedure or initially, if you mainly want to lose that lower portion of skin and fat.The specific technology (SmartLipo, Aqua, or whatever) is not important though you can expect to hear otherwise. None of these have been shown to be superior to standard liposuction and good postoperative care.
