Could I get facial fillers and Botox before I go get minor surgery for an uneven lip line due to an accident?

Question

I have an appointment for fillers for the hollowness under my eyes and Botox to bring up my eyebrows a little bit. I have this scheduled first then I have lip surgery 6 days after. Which I will be under anestesia. Should I wait till after my surgery to get the fillers and Botox? Does it matter?

As a rule, I like to do the reconstructive component of surgery well before the cosmetic.  Even though these are 2 areas of the face that do not really coincide, it doesn't hurt to wait to have the injectables done.Hope this helps.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't get treatment around your eye before having minor surgery on your lip. But it is always best to inform your surgeon .

Since the areas are enough apart, it is perfectly fine to do them before the surgery. I would alert the physician and anesthesiologist that this was done so appropriate measure are done to protect those areas.

Since the areas are totally away from each other it probably makes no difference. But you should contact the surgeon who is going to do the repair and get his input. It is always prudent to wait after a surgery to have procedures in the face

If surgery is limited to the lip and not the cheek, it should not near the areas you want injected: the hollowness of the cheeks (fillers) and lateral brow area (Botox).  Since your lips may be swollen and bruised for a week or two, you may want to have the injections done in the post-operative period (Botox will typically last 3-4 months- why spend 2 weeks not looking your best because of swelling with active Botox?).
