Help my flat boobies! What would you suggest to add volume to my breasts? (Photos)

I would recommend getting the lift done only for starters.  A 100 cc implant will do virtually nothing other than complicate an otherwise simple lift.  After the lift has healed an implant can always be added if you like, but I don’t think you will even need implants.  Placing implants when your breasts need to be lifted as far as yours do is not a good approach in my opinion.  Go on several surgeon websites and see how many cases of lift with implants you see that are similar to yours.  I don’t think you’ll see many.  Most of the ones you see with implants at the same time only need a small lift, unlike yours.

The breast lift will provide the most improvement for you at this point. The added benefit of a 100 cc implant is marginal. You may want to discuss this further with your surgeon to confirm your goals and the value of adding this very small implant. 

The best procedure for you is dependent on exactly what your aesthetic goals are. Based on your photo, I think that you are a candidate for a breast lift. A breast lift will address any sagging skin/tissue and improve your overall breast shape. If you are looking for an increase in overall breast volume or upper-pole fullness, a breast lift with implants is a good option to consider as well. Another option to consider is fat grafting.  I recommend setting up a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best of luck!

If you have determined that when wearing a bra, which simulates a lift, that your breasts have satisfactory volume, then you would not need an implant. If you have tried on sizers in a bra and determined that 100 cc does not give you sufficient volume, then you would want a larger implant.If it looks like a larger implant will make you look too big, but still want more upper pole fullness, then you can have some reduction of the lower pole of the breast (a reduction) to accommodate a larger  implant.

You've got a fair amount of your own breast tissue and a saggy nipple position - no question - you need a breast lift. A smooth round sub-muscular silicone implant will add upper pole volume and projection. Check my before/after galleries for more details on this procedure.

A 100cc implant is so small it will not make much of a difference at all. What you really need is a breast lift. You should discuss this in more detail with your plastic surgeon prior to your September surgery.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Hello and thank you for your question.  The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Based on your photographs, the best shape and contour could be achieved with an implant and a breast lift/reduction. 100cc is a very small implant. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality.  This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.   Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

This operation really is a bit more challenging than it seems. There is a lot going on and a lot of different ways of doing it...here are my thoughts  My approach is usually  just enough implant placed under the muscle and around 300cc +\- to give fullness in the upper part of the breast which most women want as part of their lift. ( Three goals most women have with the lift breasts off their tummy, nipples in a better position, and upper pole fullness).  Then I use an upper pedicle lift technique to reduce and remove as much of the lower saggy breast tissue as I can. It’s not good tissue so I don’t want much of that remaining!!!!And I do agree with Dr. Esmailian.... lifted breasts rarely if ever look like augmented breasts !!!!

Just to confirm:  you will require a full lift which means incisions around the areola, straight down and then under the breast.  The wish photos you have uploaded are of a patient with implants only, no lift.  There is a difference in shape between a patient that needs a full lift/augmentation and one that only required implants.  I would advise you to look at photos where patients have gotten similar procedure done.As far as the 100 cc implant goes, unfortunately that is unlikely to do much for most patient.  In your case you have a good amount of breast tissue and you can approach your end goal with 2 different paths.  First:  you can have a breast lift and reduce the breast by removing the lower pole breast tissue and place an implant equivalent to what was removed to allow you to stay same size but have the upper pole fullness.  Second:  you can undergo a staged procedure where you have a breast reduction and reduce you to as small as possible by removing a good deal of your breast tissue and skin.  Then after 4 months come back and place implants.  Although this is two surgeries, it will allow you to get as close as you can to that look of having implants, similar to a patient that just came in for implants only and no lift.Hope that helps.
