Dear farf77,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation and breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. based on your photo, the plates that you were seeing may just represent edema, or may represent some visibility of the implant pocket. Considering surgery was very recent, it will take time for things to settle into final position. I would recommend follow up with your board-certified plastic surgeon to address your concerns. Best wishes.
Hello,Aside from the fact that this forum puts you and the responding surgeons at a disadvantage at giving correct information and pertinent recommendations due to a lack of a physical exam, taking away any possibility by not including relevant or clear photographs makes it impossible. Either repost with better photos, or get a second opinion from a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in revision breast surgery. Best of luck.
Dear madam, Full front and side view pictures would have been very helpful. From observing your picture and noticing the high position of the implants, it appears that, indeed, you are very early in the healing process. I would recommend to wait 3-4 months , perform implants displacement massage and than reassess the situation. You did not provide information on the implants' pocket location. If yours are on top of the muscles and the problem persist after 3-4 months, consider placing the implants under the muscles, for better implants' coverage. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice cleavage, perky, symmetrical and natural looking. Best of luck, Dr Widder
Thank you for your picture and questions. From what I can tell, this is some stretching of the skin and is likely more prominent from the swelling. I would try to be patient and this will likely improve with time. Make sure you follow your surgeon's instructions. Hope this helps!
Thanks for your photos and important questions about breast implant exchange and breast implant revisions. It is most likely that you are having some early swelling in the soft tissue that is making some stretch marks you may not have notice before become a bit more visible. If that is the case it should continue to improve some as you heal. Follow up with your Plastic Surgeon.Best wishes
Hi, Tough to tell from the photos but these seem to be stretch marks. The ridges and valleys may be accentuated from the recent surgical swelling so time will tell about them getting better. This is a good time to review your pre op photos to see if they were there before your lift but I would suspect that they were there before. Be patient....time will tell more of the details than you are seeing now.
The best I can tell on the photograph, the "ridges" you are seeing are stretch marks that are involved in the swelling process. This appearance should resolve with time (a few weeks). Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.
As its simply not healthy for you. As for whether it contributes to contractures, its all speculation as there is no scientific proof. But since you've had a recurrence, your surgeon must be doing everything possible to help prevent this from recurring again and there are several well a...
It is too early to conclude your results. You may still be experiencing persistent swelling and this affects your shape. Also, it takes a few months for your implants to settle. Give it time. It usually takes about 6 months to fully heal. Follow your surgeon's instructions carefully to prevent...
Thank you for your pictures and questions. This is a common finding when doing and implant and a lift at the same time. The pressure on the areola from the underlying implant causes stretching of the areola. Placement of a permanent suture during the lift can help but it not always assured to...
