Iam sorry to hear you are in pain. Post treatment discomfort is not unusual, butthis normally settles relatively quickly. I would recommend in your case a coldcompress and paracetamol. Low doses of codeine could also help if needed. Iassume you have a two-week post treatment review booked, and I would recommendyou discuss your discomfort with your clinician at this appointment if itremains ongoing. If you do not have a review booked, I would suggest you lookto book one as it is important to have a review.
I am sorry to hear you areexperiencing pain after a Silhouette Soft procedure. In most cases this shouldsettle naturally in the very near future. I always recommend using a gentle coldcompress as a first step and if this isn’t offering enough relief paracetamolor a very low dose of codeine should help. However, you should not takeanything which dampens the inflammatory process. If you are concerned you couldcall your treatment provider or take a photograph and email it them asking forfeedback. You should also be due for areview with your doctor very soon, who will be able to assess more fully howyou are healing and offer more tailored advice.
Thankyou for your question. In most cases pain and swellingafter a Silhouette Soft treatment is minimal and should resolve itself in a fewdays, although I amsorry to read that you are still in pain 10 days later. Once everything hassettled, I am sure you will be delighted with your results. I recommend that mypatients take paracetamol for pain relief especially a few days after thetreatment. It is important of course to not overdose. Ibuprofen is notrecommended post treatment as it increases the risk of bruising. Low doses ofco-codamol can also be taken but remember to not increase the paracetamol dosesat this time. Cold compresses can alsoalleviate any swelling and discomfort. Doyou have a review booked with the practitioner that carried out yourtreatment? Your provider can then check thateverything is healing well and more than anything they can reassure you thateverything is fine. If you are concerned you could callyour treatment provider or take a photograph and email it them asking forfeedback.
Thank you for your question. Please rest assured that some degree of discomfort is normal after Silhouette Soft. I advise my patients this can sometimes take up to a month to settle. I would recommend using Paracetamol regularly until you are comfortable, making sure you stay within safe dosage limits. I don’t recommend Ibuprofen in the early stages of healing because of the bruising risk, but if you are still feeling swollen it may be helpful to add this in for a few days. You can also buy CoCodamol over the counter at your local pharmacy - if your pain is more severe then this may be helpful, but please remember not to take extra paracetamol with CoCodamol. We would always recommend to our patients to come back for a review weeks post procedure with their treating practitioner so that they can check that the healing process is progressing as it should be. Good luck with your recovery, and I hope you’re delighted with your results!
Sorry to hear you having some pain 10 days after the procedure. I would advise paracetamol +- low dose codeine if needed for the pain. A cold compress is always helpful9/10 times patient discomfort settles very quickly; Transient stinging is quite common Im assuming you have a 2 week review with your treating practitioner booked? If not please call and arrange so they can check everything is healing as it should and treat accordingly.Hope all settles well and that you are pleased with the result.
