I cannot even imagine a better practitioner that Ian. I was apprehensive about my first experience of having filler and botox treatments. He reassured me that I need not fear looking "unnatural" because he never gives patients more treatment than they need. I was absolutely delighted by the results he has achieved. The treatment was painless and I did not have any bruising. Ian gives the impression of having all the time in the world to answer any queries. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I have visited 2 other doctors for this procedure for numerous years , but would rate this salon well above the others, as I hardly felt a thing. Had no bruising afterwards and the treatment lasted a long time.
Really great treatment experience every thing was really well explained, I could view the proposed treatment, before going ahead I was apprehensive about the look of the appliances, but I shouldn't have worried as no one noticed i was wearing them, Great result just what I was looking for.
I have just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr Stephen fellows, I love my new smile, as I no longer have crowded and crossed over teeth. the system is invisible and even tho I had them on for 8 months no one was aware
Ian & Joanna have been absolutely brilliant with looking after my face after trying many different pleaces i have found the one place I trust completely which is Meon face ! Will always be returning to them really well looked after! The results have been the best I have had. Highly recommend !

My Silhouette Soft Treatment was expertly carried out by Dr Ian Hallam and Joanna Koussertari, who did everything possible to provide a comfortable and safe experience. The results are excellent, and well worth the money. Updated on 6 Dec 2020: This is the third treatment I have had to correct a sagging jawline and neck using Silhouette Soft at Meon Face Clinic, with Dr Ian Hallam and Joanna Roussertari carrying out the treatment. The treatment has been very effective in keeping my jawline and neck firmer: it makes me feel more confident, and, although you do need to take it easy for a couple of days after the treatment, Dr Ian Hallam and Joanna have been very conscientious throughout with before and after care, making sure that the client is fully briefed about is involved, and what Silhouette Soft will and won't do, and that it is appropriate for the client's needs. The room is completely clean and a good environment for the treatment: it is meant to last for eighteen months, but I have found that the effects are beneficial after that.
Dr Hallam, and his team made me feel so welcome, at ease and comfortable. I went from a nervous patient to it being a rather enjoyable experience. The results are amazing , more than I expected it to be. I have increased confidence and would highly recommend Silhouette soft treatment and Dr Hallam and his wonderful team at Meon Face. Love Gloria :)
Having a high dental phobia, I managed to go and see Dr. Hallam, aged 60, beginning in the waiting room. He was very understanding and over the course of a year had 6 implants and much repair work with extractions and crowns. He and his colleagues, using conscious sedation initially, transformed my life, enabling me to smile again and restore confidence. I cannot praise him and his team enough and now visit him and the hygienist regularly every 6 months. He is very good at explaining things and made me feel very at ease. Highly recommended, especially if you have a dental phobia. Michael (Petersfield)
Visited Dentist for check up, one month earlier than planned, because bits fallen off upper molar. When my Dentist examined and x-rayed discussed options and did the treatment there and then. The procedure was easily achieved, pain-free, with maximum support from both Dentist and Nurse. I was glad to have the whole situation dealt with, no need to return for another appointment.
Hello JuliaI am pleased to hear that your dentist has suggested an implant to replace the fractured canine. However, I am not sure why it was suggested that an implant in this position is more difficult and would not last as long. Obviously I cannot give full advice without seeing an Xray to assess the bone height and quality, but normally there is adequate bone in this area because canine roots are very long and, in my experience, implants in this position are very successful.I would agree that you are better to avoid bridgework due to the necessary tooth reduction and I would strongly recommend seeking a consultation with an implant dentist. With my best wishesDr Ian Hallam MBE
HelloI am sorry to learn that you have bone loss around your lower anterior teeth. This is usually the result of poor oral hygiene but can be caused by other factors such as medication or a traumatic bite.Unfortunately the prognosis is not good. It is not possible to reestablish the bone but the most important thing is to visit your dental practice and have regular hygienist visits. Hopefully, with meticulous oral hygiene, the bone loss will be halted. If the teeth become mobile, I am afraid that you will loose the teeth.Treatments options are then either a denture or implants. a denture is not ideal because they are rather unstable and could lead to further deterioration of adjacent teeth. The ideal option is to replace the missing teeth with implants to provide a stable long-term solution. My best wishesDr Ian Hallam MBE
HelloThank you for your question3ml of filler for tear troughs is indeed a lot!!It may be that you misunderstood the amount - 0.3ml per side is normal. It is also important that the correct type of filler is used. It needs to be a soft product that gives some degree of lift without making it hard or lumpy. This will also improve hydration and surface textureIf carried out correctly you should get very nice results I hope this is helpfulBest wishesDr Ian Hallam MBE
Thank you for your questionIt is difficult to advise you without more information and X-rays.However, the possible bridge that you are describing is a very extensive span and could overload the supporting teeth. In the long term this could cause those teeth to fail due to loss of supporting bone.Implants after carrying out a sinus bone augmentation are very successful.I hope that this is helpfulWith best wishesDr Ian Hallam MBE
Different dental practices work in different ways. Some practices have an oral surgeon who does the surgical aspect and places the implants and another dentist will do the restoration (the abutment and crown). In other practices the same dental surgeon will place the implants and do the restoration as well.It is not necessary for an oral surgeon to do the surgical work, but dentists who don't place implants may refer their patients to a surgeon who does, either at another practice and to a visiting surgeon at their own practice. The advantage to the patient of the same dentist carrying out all the work is that if there is a problem, although this is rare, there is no confusion as to who should deal with it.So in answer to your query, look into who will be doing the treatment and satisfy yourself that the dental surgeons involved are knowledgeable and experienced.I trust that this helpsBest wishesDr Ian Hallam MBE
