Can feel my 3 tooth bridge lifting in the back. It is only 2yrs old. My dentist said the front of the bridge is tight. Told me to chew gum to loosen it so it Comes off in one piece? Is this normally told to do? Also this is a root canal tooth with a post so he does not want to chance a fracture said by chewing gum it will lift in one piece. Problem is it really zinged when he put dental floss in it and now dull throbbing is present. Told to use my water pic too. Any advise, thank you!

I would also suggest having the dentist recheck the fit.
Is it smooth when you floss? Continue cleaning very thoroughly, and get an appointment to have it evaluated.
HI:There is certain amount of adjustment that is normal with a new bridge. It's difficult to know exactly how high is the bridge without a clinical exam.Best,Dr. Maddahi
