The photo of the cheeks shows lack of lateral projection and significant volume deficit and flattening in the central area contributing to smile folds. So, if you have only one area to concentrate on, then the use of a robust HA filler in the hands of an experienced injector can not only provide projection in the cheek bone areas to create a more oval, heart-shaped face, but would very likely significantly improve the smile lines. Make sure to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.
Hi @melissarn! A hyaluronic acid dermal filler like Restylane Defyne placed into the piriform fossa and nasolabial fold can help smoothen the area. I also recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices, triggering the skin’s natural healing response to promote skin tightening and lifting. I hope this was helpful!
I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer
Fillers and Sculptra would help with your nasolabial folds. As we age, our cheekbones flatten and gravity pulls down the loose skin which causes the nasolabial folds, therefore, it is best to treat the cause first. I would suggest filling the cheeks and temples, then adding to nasolabial folds to soften ( if needed). You are also a great candidate for Sculptra. Sculptra (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) is an injection that stimulates collagen production. It is great for overall facial rejuvenation.
Hello, and thank you for providing images along with your question. While a personal evaluation is necessary, you seem to have loss of volume in the midface, which is a common byproduct of the aging process. By injecting small amounts of filler in this area, the skin will become plump and supple, lifting the skin and smoothing out the visible groove around the nose and mouth. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with extensive experience with injectables. Such experts will have the optimal skills and techniques, as well as an eye for facial harmony and proportion, helping you achieve your goals, as well as natural-looking results. During your consultation, your surgeon will assess your skin quality and facial profile, customize your treatment plan, and ensure the best possible outcome.
Hello, and thank you for your inquiry! There are a few options to treat your nasoloabial folds. You can place filler directly into the folds. You can also treat indirectly by placing filler into the cheeks. By placing filler in the cheeks this helps soften the folds slightly. Cheek filler may not completely eliminate the need for filler in your folds. Good luck on your journey!
From your photo it appears you would benefit from filler to the cheek area as well as addressing the nasolabial folds. This would improve the volume loss and better balance facial contours. You may consider Sculptra as an alternative for longer lasting results. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.
The best way to treat the Nasolabial folds is to start where the problem initiates. Typically it's not the cheeks. More likely it's hollowness under the eyes or the temples. And then you inject very little in the nasolabial area-- what we call #fillerbrush. In your case, I think you're a little hollow in the temples but mostly under the eyes. If you do Temple and tear trough fillers it will help tremendously with the nasolabial area and will last a very long time.
In your case you might need surgery of an anterior mini FL with SMAS plication to elevate the gravity effect on your naso labial folds. As for injections try Vollure 2 syrigens. Fee from $1,000-$3,000. Best to virtual consult with...
Nasolabial folds increase when the malar area deflates and the tissue drops to the ligament at the fold. Treatment is to refill the malar area. Therefore, filler to the area is the proper treatment. Make sure you see an expert in treating this area as it is a difficult area.
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
Hello, If you are looking to volumize your cheeks, under eye, and lower face, hyaluronic acid fillers are a great option. HA is a natural substance already found in your skin. There are multiple formulations on the market depending on what you're using it for. The risk of blindness is because of...
Thank you for submitting your question and photos. Long-term swelling is not a regular occurrence from dermal fillers and should be reduced by proper injection of the hyaluronidase enzyme. The swelling you’re still experiencing may have been caused by an unsuitable dosage, injection site, or f...
