A downturned smile or permanent frown can be improved with a combination approach, including neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau), injectable fillers, and radiofrequency skin tightening treatments such as Thermage or Venus Legacy. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist to develop a treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer.
You might benefit from a buccal fat pad removal. This is a very simple procedure where a small incision is made inside your mouth to remove some of the fat near the corners of your mouth and would give you a less chubby or full appearance to your face. It can be done under local anesthesia or with mild sedation and is a permanent correction. I would recommend a board certified facial plastic surgeon in your area for consultation. You can also add a small amount of filler to the corners of your mouth to help with the downturned look or a couple of units of Botox which has a short duration of effect in that area. Good luck with your consultation
It is not possible to give you good evaluation and advise based on this smiling photos! In order to correct down turned corners of the mouth, we perform so called "smile surgery". In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, familiar with this or similar procedure, is recommended. Good luck.
Hello ggsanaz, your philtrum distance - hence your upper lip show- is definitely going to benefit from a liplift because the upper lip is droopy and removing more silicon alone is not going to suffice. whether or not combining liplift with extra silicone removal is the right question i believe....
I recommend a lip lift because the distance between your nose and upper lip is great. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hi! If you have a perfect amount of teeth showing when smiling then you may not require a lip lift. Lip lift reduces the gap between your nose and upper lip and pulls up the corners and may cause a gummy smile. However, you can consult a qualified surgeon for an assessment to know your options....
