Is it possible to fix the over rotation and bulbous tip of my nose? (photos)

Hello and thank you for your question. It does appear you might be a good candidate for a rhinoplasty. However, keep in mind that this procedure is more complex than nearly any other plastic surgery. Also, you would want to ensure very subtle, natural results, which will require a great deal of skill, precision, and artistry. You have what we call, low columellar show. The column between your nostrils should be seen on side view, showing 2 to 4 millimeters and be a little rounded. THis can be improved with grafts of your own cartilage. If that is all you want, it is a short procedure. However, sometimes a nose really requires more balance. I find computer imaging a very good way to discuss what we both see and come to a mutual goal for potential surgery. Imaging is not about selling a procedure, but to aid in the patient doctor discussion.

You'll need a structural rhinoplasty that utilizes rib cartilage to extend the septum and repositions the tip complex into a longer, de-rotated position.

I wouldn’t even operate on your nose. It looks just fine to me. By over rotated you may mean that your tip is up too much and that’s true but not very bad. Also trying to lower the tip is quite difficult and usually attempts to do it accomplish very little. So I would be quite reluctant to have anything done at all

From the limited pictures you seem to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty under a Closed Atraumatic Technique to reshape the nose without giving any trauma and to have quite a short downtime. You may benefit from deprojection (bring your nose closer to your face) and refinement of your bulbous tip for a more elegant yet natural appearance. These interventions require expertise and extended skills, therefore make sure to find an experienced Board Certified plastic surgeon, who is able to accomplish your goals safely. Rhinoplasty can surely improve your both areas of concern. However, there are some limitations. You seem to have a good and thick nasal skin quality. A thick nasal skin is great in covering up minor irregularities but since it does not shrink well after surgery, it will not show fine underlying refinements at your nasal tip to the same extent as those with thin skin.
I would suggest that you consult with an expert rhinoplasty surgeon and discuss what you do and do not like about your nose.
