this happened 17 days ago, should i wait more so the lip would heal itself or would it be like this for ever

It's not permanent. It will heal. Facial swelling can take a long time (we tell patients 6 months after trauma or surgery). Don't get fillers to correct something that is going to get better by itself.

Thank you for your question and photo. Usually this swelling and bruising can last up to 1 month. Be patient. If any asymmetry persists after that then you may have to see a physician to have it fix. Best of Luck!

First, stop fighting, give peace a chance ;). Seriously though, usually there is bruising and swelling and this can sometimes last out to 1 month, so be patient. If any asymmetry remains after that, then best to speak with your dermatologist about ways to correct the asymmetry, typically involving fillers like juvederm or restylane.
