Dear Greeny, Front picture of your breasts would have been helpful. Fever is not normal in any situation and the question is why do you have fever, especially, 5 days after surgery. You did not reveal any other symptoms or signs associated with your breasts . Are they red, swollen painful ? That can be also from the surgery itself and that is why you have to contact your surgeon as soon as possible , to rule out early stage infection, that when treated early can avoid penetration of the infection into the implants cavity, which might require removal of the implants. Of course you might have just a cold , which is the best of all world for you, but again, let your surgeon make that determination, which might save your implants. Best of luck, Dr Widder
Thank you for asking. The best person to contact is your plastic surgeon. A surgical fever is typically higher but a patient should contact her doctor if there is any question at all. Best wishes!
Thank you for your question. A fever of 101 or higher should be reported to your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
Greeny2018. A fever is considered to be 101°F or higher. Your temperature is within the higher range of normal. As long as you feel OK and you do not have excessive pain in your breasts, I would not worry. As a precaution however, you should check in with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
Thanks for your question. Temperature can commonly be elevated the first few days after surgery due to the inflammatory process initiated by the surgery itself, but it is always a good idea to be checked in person by your surgeon if there is any question that an infection might be the cause. Best of luck with your recovery!
I would recommend contacting your plastic surgeon. While the fever may not be anything serious, you could also have an underlying issue that may need to be treated. Best to have your plastic surgeon make this assessment for you. Hope this helps!
What you are experiencing is not abnormal as it is still very early in your healing process after a breast augmentation. Each breast may heal differently in terms of speed from one another. It is great you are keeping your plastic surgeon aware of the changes and healing as you experience it as...
Hi Sarah and thank you for your question. The price for anesthesia (local and general) will vary by location and surgeon/anesthesiologist. I would agree with some of the other surgeons who have replied in that $1,200.00 for only the local anesthesia to be administered seems...
A minor push won't have likely caused problems, although if your pain persists and there is significant swelling I would recommend seeing your plastic surgeon for an in-person assessment. Hope this helps!
