Hard painful lumps 3 months after fillers.

Question

Just over 3 months ago I had fillers in my lips and around the sides of my mouth, they have been fine, but now I'm in pain with hard swollen lumps. I'm very worried and don't know where to turn. The injector cannot see me for a week but I'm worried it's an infection and need to know who can treat this ASAP. Many thanks

1. I would call and tell the office you want seen earlier in my opinion..... if you're in a high amount of pain2. They may need to dissolve the filler- I"m assuming you went to a doctor? 3. I doubt it's an infection, but you need to be seen in person for certain. Best of Luck

It is impossible to make an exact diagnosis or specific recommendations without assessing you in-person.  That said, it is possible that you are experiencing either an infection or an immune response to your fillers.  In any case, I would recommend a thorough evaluation by a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon with extensive experience in managing filler complications.  I hope you feel better soon.
