1 week post op, why is this fatty lump still there after BodyTite? (photos)

Hello Jenny,Great question. Do not rush to conclusions. BodyTite results start to be noticeable at a few weeks to six months from surgery date. There is bruising and swelling involved post op. There will be more swelling if you got liposuction done at the same time. Therefore; due to the swelling it might seem that there is no difference from original state of skin. Keep using your compression garment, as that is used to help with the swelling. Be patient. As always, do not take for granted the follow ups with your surgeon. If concerns persist, please contact a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed examination.

Congratulations on your recent surgery. I can certainly understand that while you see results beneath the belly button the area above this is still concerning. I would not be overly concerned at this point as you were only a week removed from the surgery.  BodyTite and liposuction cause a significant amount of swelling. This routinely take several weeks to resolve. As to why one area looks better than the other it is difficult to say at this point. This may be related to your prior surgery or starting body shape. At this point I would continue to follow your surgeons instructions and let your body continue to heal. Best wishes.
