I had silicone injections put in once 9 yrs ago in my butt. I have had no infections complications or pain. I just don't want to wait to get them removed sometime in the future. I want to get them out now. However is it possible if one does not have a lot of the product in their butt to get a fat transfer the same day?

Answer: Silicone removal and then fat grafting I usually ask my patients to wait at least 3 months following removal before fat grafting is performed.

Answer: Is it possible to get fat transfer done the same day as silicone injections are removed? Is it mandatory to wait a few months? To answer your question, no, do not attempt fat grafting at the same time as removal of the silicone. There are lots of reasons for this. However, if you are not having any problems from the injected silicone, then leave well enough alone. Assuming these injections were done some years in the past, then if you have no problems now, you likely will not in the future. Surgical removal of the injected silicone will result in significant deformities which will be difficult, if not impossible, to totally correct, even with fat grafting.
