This is a good option for removing stubborn belly fat and increasing upper breast fullness. Personally, I use Vaser ultrasound liposuction for this with consistent results.I do not perform very large fat transfers- implants are better. An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.
hello becomingbutterfly Fat is removed from your abdomen, hips, “love handles” or other areas using a fine cannula similar to the one used for liposuction but skinnier. This fat is rinsed with sterile saline solution and then packaged into syringes and prepared for transfer. Approximately 20% of fat removed is suitable and available for fat grafting. #stomach #fat
Thank you for your query. We can transfer fat from any location to breast. Each person has certain areas where the fat is more resistant and does not respond to dieting or exercise. These areas are called primary deposits and are better for fat transfer to breast and undergo less resorption. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon.
Keep in mind that when we harvest fat, only a percentage of this volume can actually be used for grafting. As such, unless you have enough fat on your abdominal wall, you will probably need to have liposuction and harvesting from additional areas, as well. But, in reality, that is actually a bonus. By addressing fat to adjacent areas, there is a greater likelihood that you will attain a more natural and balanced appearance from the liposuction procedure itself. As with all breast procedures, make sure that you consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in breast surgeries. Experience makes all the difference!I hope that helps and wish you the very best!-Gregory A Buford MD FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author
Dear Becomingbutterfly, yes, you can use fat from your abdomen for transfer to your breasts. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. You will get the best recommendations after a thorough examination.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
