I am a 45 year old female.When I was 2 I lost my left eye a traumatic accident . I noticed that my eye socket is sinking in.Can fat transfer be used inside my eye socket to fill the void?

Fat can be done to fill the hollow socket. Another great option is fillers (such as Radiesse or Hyaluronic acid gels such as Juvederm and Restylane), which can be done in the office under local anesthesia. It may also be possible to replace the eye socket implant with a large one.  See an oculoplastic surgeon for evaluation.

You certainly can be a candidate for eye socket/orbital volume augmentation with fat grafting.  You should consult with an oculoplastic surgeon that has had prior experience with either fat grafting or using other injectable fillers into the eye socket. Other options besides fat grafting to the socket that provide great results include synthetic fillers such as Radiesse or hyaluronic acid gels which can be performed in little time during an office visit.
