Excessively chubby cheeks after fat grafting with injection? (photo)

Question

7 month ago,I had fat grafted to my both sites of temple and cheeks areas to treat my acne scar.Right now my cheeks and temple are overfilled and I look like I have a chubby face and my left cheek and temple are much bigger and swelling more than the right.My question :Does the fat make my face so big like this or It's just swelling that can be taken down if I wait for few more month?I do want to get my old face back. Can the fat grafted on my face be removed and will I look like I did before?

Chubby cheeks after fat grafting seven months postop is probably permanent at this time. I have been doing fat grafting for 35 years and what you see at six months is usually what is there. This can be revised with surgery and fat removal.

Excess fat in cheeks after fat transferFat transfer to the cheeks should be done for very specific reasons.  An 
experienced and talented surgeon can determine how much and where to place the 
fat transfer.  The permanency of fat transfer is quite technique dependent.  
Typically the results can be considered permanent after 6-9 months.  In your 
particular case, fat graft would not by my first choice based on your 
pre-operative photos and your history of acne scars.  There are techniques for 
removing the fat in the cheeks, but must be performed in an exact and careful 
fashion.  Seek out an experienced and talented surgeon that can help you in 
achieving thinner cheeks.

there could be prolonged swelling with fat grafting to the face, your doctor will be able to tell how much swelling. some swelling and hardening is normal healing process. Also the fat graft can gain weight as one gains weight. There could be some downward migration with gravity as well. If this continues liposuction can take care of those troublesome areas.
