The most likely cause is fat necrosis due to the injected fat not surviving. This may or may not resolve as the fat can calcify or sometimes become cysts. If it does resolve it often does take 6 months or more to do so. Other things benign and malignant can also be the cause so it is essential that you see your surgeon to assess and treat it as necessary.
