Is removing facial stitches 14 days after too late?

I had moles removed on my face. The appointment to have them removes is 14days later. It this normal and will it causse more scarring removing them after 14 days. I read 5-8 is typical time.

I typically remove sutures of the face at 5 days after the procedure. You are correct that 14 days is a long time!Definitely check in with your surgeon about when he/she actually wants to see you back.

I normally remove sutures on the face in about 5-7 days.  The type of suture used may influence how long the sutures stay in before being removed.  You could contact the surgeon who performed your surgery to confirm when your sutures should be removed.
