I had a breast reduction/lift using a vertical incision in August 2023. I’m left with folds underneath both breasts leaving me disfigured and now battling recurrent skin infections. Pre-op size: 32DDD Current Size: 32DD Left breast: 184g removed Right breast: 91g removed My recent consult advised me to either do an augmentation with a mesh bra or with small intramuscular implants in order to get the upper pole fullness I’m looking for. I don’t want to be any bigger, re-reduction?
Answer: Breast Revision/Reductive Augmentation Thank you for your question. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to revisionary breast surgery Over many years, I developed a technique called "Reductive Augmentation" in which an internal bra-capsulorrhaphy, mastopexy - lift, and removal of inferior pole breast tissue is performed. This procedure is particularly suitable for patients who would like a more round appearing breast and upper pole fullness, especially in those patients that don't want to go larger. I have treated many patients with very similar breast issues as yours. I published this technique in the International Journal of Aesthetic Surgery in 2017. Best wishes to you

Answer: Breast reduction revision vs implants If you have combined goals of improving contour to the bottom of the breast AND achieving more upper pole fullness the beast option would be a revision breast reduction combined with a breast implant. A revision reduction (with an anchor pattern, or wise pattern incision) would give you the improved contour to the bottom portion of your breast and allow you to remove additional volume so that an implant could be added without changing your overall volume. An implant is the only predictable way to achieve more upper pole fullness.

Answer: Sorry to hear... Thank you for your question and photos, and I am sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction with your result. You can definitely be helped by an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. I would recommend starting with a follow up with your original surgeon to get his or her opinion. If you have lost confidence in him or her, please seek out the advice of another plastic surgeon whose reviews, personal recommendations, or Before and After gallery are consistent with your own expectations. It appears that you have a skin-gland mismatch and the redundant skin needs to be excised. It appears that your actual scars are of a good quality, which suggests that you should hopefully be able to obtain a very nice final result after revision surgery. Do your research. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Residual breast tissue following breast reduction To correct this problem you will need a complete breast reduction revision with removal of further tissue. It is important for the surgeon to know how the procedure was done in order to avoid cutting off the blood supply to the nipple

Answer: Revision recommended for poorly done breast reconstruction Though you attempted to post photos, the use of your hands pushing up and down on the breast does not show the full breast. Either repost photos or consider in person or virtual consult and second opinions for revision surgery of complete breast reductions. Expect fees to range from $8000-$15,000. Again best to virtual consult with for revision full breast reduction.
