I understand you are concerned. You are early post op so there will be swelling that subsides. Your size will change slightly. Please note that different bra companies may be slightly different in sizes in their merchandise. Please speak to your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.Regards,
Congratulations on your recent surgery. 300cc breast implants are a very common size implant that many patients choose to give a really nice result. The breast will continue to change over the next 6-8 weeks as your body heals from the surgery. I avoid discussing cup size since it varies with bras depending on the style and maker.
At one week you are only about 4 percent settled, shaped and softened. Your breasts will change as they continue to drop and fluff. "Drop and fluff" refers to the fact that as the skin stretches and the muscles relax, the implants move down and out slowly – about 1 percent a day. It’ll be about six weeks before they even begin to settle down, but they’ll be close to 80 percent settled at three months. Watching their progress is like watching your hair grow. You don’t see a difference in your hair growth daily, but all of a sudden you need a haircut. Be patient after surgery. Give yourself a few months before making a judgment about your surgical results. You won't know the outcome until then.Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author
Hello, usually the breast size and shape will change as swelling resolves, but there is a wide variation in the degree of change between patients. It usually takes several months to observe the final result. There is no good correlation between the size of implants chosen and final cup size, so it is difficult to predict a person's final cup size prior to surgery.
Hi there, thanks for sharing your photos. You should expect your breasts to get smaller after your swelling goes down. Typically you'll notice the biggest decrease in swelling after the 1st month, but every month after that, the swelling continues to go down and the implants continue to settle. For most patients, it takes 4-6 months for the swelling to be gone. Good luck!
Dear nazausa,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 7 days post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Thank you for your question and photo. At one wee after surgery you will still have a considerable amount of swelling that will make your breasts feel firmer and look larger. As time goes on the swelling will decrease and you will be able to better appreciate your final results. Be patient and I'm sure you will be quite happy with your results. Best, Dr. Kludt
Results will resolve over the next several weeks after surgery (most dramatically initially). It is for this reason that I encourage patients to reserve judgement and more importantly refrain from any new wardrobe purchases until at least 6 weeks post op. Based on your photos, you have a very nice result. Based upon your stated timeline, I would guess that you are still swollen. This will settle over the next few weeks and you will likely decrease in size somewhat. Predicting to what degree swelling will resolve is difficult which is why we encourage patience. As always, discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
and you should expect softening and mild diminishment in volume and from your looks, you should easily achieve a C cup and if you buy Victoria's Secret, you could even be a D cup as manufacturers create their own cup sizes...
Thank you for your question and photo. At 1 week post-op, it is not uncommon to still have considerable swelling. I tell my patients that the haling process can take up to 6 months, some times longer in certain cases. So, your breasts can continue to change as you heal. It's best to be as patient as possible during this time and consult with your plastic surgeon if you have any concerns. I also suggest to follow your surgeon's post operative protocol. Best of luck with your continued recovery,
Congratulations on your decision to have breast augmentation. The 500 cc breast implant should give you a result close to your desired result. To understand better you can try the Rice test in the privacy of your home.
I appreciate your question. I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at ...
Hello,I'm astounded (incredulous) but glad that it worked! Keep it on for a LOOOOONG time. You need to form stable scar tissue, which takes at least 8 weeks. Best of luck!
