Question

My upper lip and philtrum protrudes more than. My lower lip. Also my upper lip is the same size as of my lower lip. I don't have any overbite or overjet. Why I have this? Also I would like to know what are my options?

The advantage of using fillers is that you can have the injections tailored to your specific needs and desires. 3-D photography will help. I appreciate your concern and while physical exam is optimal, your photos demonstrate that you would most likely benefit from lip reduction surgery. The procedure is done in the office, under local anesthesia, and it takes about one hour. Recovery is usually one week, as postop, the lips are quite swollen. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon with lots of experience with lip surgery, good luck!

There are no strict esthetic criteria for lips shape/size except that lower lip should be larger than upper. However, there are numerous examples that question this concept. If size and protrusion of  upper lip bothers you, simple answer is the  upper lip reduction. It is done in local anesthesia with relatively short recovery time. Hope this helps.
