Is corner mouth lift is right for me? Or temporal or extended lower eyelid surgery could help with the sagging corners?
Answer: Try Botox to DAO You look good, and it is difficult to send you in pursuit of a facelift just yet. Initially, I would give Botox injection into the depressor anguli oris muscles (DOA) a try. These two muscles pull down the corners of the mouth as we age. When Botox is injected into these muscles, it allows the corners of the mouth to rise. It is a temporary solution that lasts 2–3 months. Find a person who is an experienced Botox injector. Dr. B.

Answer: Mini facelift A mini facelift with a SMAS lift will lift the corners of the mouth. This can use an extension into the temporal hairline to lift the cheeks.

Answer: Lip lift I recommend a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Facelift Any well done facelift will improve the jowls and neck. There are many types of facelifts which are largely the same so don’t get confused if you get different recommendations from each surgeon

Answer: A difficult problem that lacks quality solutions Facial aesthetics are primarily determined by facial bone structure. Even problems that appear to be soft tissue related usually can be correlated with issues of the skeletal structure. Issues surrounding the lower 1/3 of the face are often related to having a mandible that is small or lacking in projection. There are a handful of procedures described. I’m at lifting the corners of their mouth, including Botox treatments. None of these are particularly helpful. I would be cautious regarding this type of surgery since it is a fairly common problem without good solutions. Insist on seeing plenty of before and after pictures whenever considering permanent irreversible facial surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
