My bmi is 21.1 I have lost 25kgs in total and my face is still chubby and also very asymmetrical. Im very unhappy with my uneven lips and they look soo much better when im laying down. Would a facelift benefit me? Im young but I like the pulled back look way more it gets rid of my lip asymmetry

Answer: Facial asymmetry and facelift Facial asymmetry is normal. All people have facial asymmetry. During embryological development, the two sides of the face develop independently from each other, and eventually infuse in the midline. The primary source of asymmetry is in the skeletal structure. Soft tissue coverage tends to be far more consistent from one side to the other. Avoid treating asymmetry, because doing so well, simply create a new asymmetry. You do not need a facelift, nor do you have the indications for that procedure. Accepting your face as normal as your best option. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
