Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your images and your concerns, I might recommend RF microneedling to treat both your acne scarring and your early skin laxity. However, I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can perform a comprehensive examination and recommend a customized treatment plan based on your precise needs and goals.

The rule number one is always …..prevention. From eating well fresh fruit and vegetables to avoiding sun exposure as much as possible, from daily skin cleansing routine with good products to sun protection, the second line of defense is to find a collagen stimulating treatment that works for you. Virtually all our patients love and appreciate our low setting micro-needling treatment. Just two treatments every six months has helped patients with all skin type to maximize their collagen production. The key is lowest setting possible with this treatment .

In my opinion, you may benefit from laser resurfacing for some of the acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. Regarding the skin laxity itself, a radiofrequency device would likely be most helpful as it helps restore your bodies own production of Elastin, which as it's name implies, helps the elasticity of your skin (ie provides tighter skin).
