So I had a upper eyelid eyelid Blepharoplasty late last year 2022, to essentially correct uneven eyelids. I've had the surgery and it seems like the surgery hasn't corrected this at all as it still looks the same as before. (Image is flipped in the before photo but unevenness)The surgeon is saying this excess skin is from the surgery and he will remove the excess skin to correct it but I really don't trust them anymore so some opinions would be great! Thank you

Answer: Revision of upper blepharoplasty Correction of asian eyelids is more compex than cocasian; it is not possible every time to achieve perfectly symmetric result. Creation of symmetric supratarsal fold is one of the goals as well. Revision surgery 1 year or longer after original surgery should be done with your first surgeon or a new one. In person consultation is much better than photos. Hope this helps.

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
