I'm 66 and have had upper and lower lid surgery approximately three years ago. These mounds (festoons?) begin at the top of what I will call my eye socket, and are getting worse as I age. I'm located in Portland, Oregon, but can travel for the process. I've looked at the videos online of the necessary surgery, and read what is available. I'd far rather have surgery and possible scarring that balloons under my eyes! What can you tell me? Thank you very much. Bonnie

In my practice are removed between 3 and 5 days, primarily to avoid the development of small whitehead (milia) or scars from the sutures themselves. But its done at the risk of the wound separating but it has never been a problem for me.

However if you have significant prolapsed fat under the eyes, the only way to get rid of this is with surgery. Ultrasound or other types of vibration won't help.
