I have a pear shaped body with disproportionate fat on my thighs. I want to get both inner and outer thigh liposuction. I am wondering how long would it take to heal and if there would potentially be any side effects like cellulite or something. Is walking a problem right after thigh liposuction? Would it be possible to walk off the surgery table on my own?
Answer: Thigh liposuction risks and benefits consult with us to go through the options, if you have loose skin you can make cellulite and sagging worse with liposuction alone. a lot of times internal hating and/or skin removal (thigh lifting) is needed). Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Liposuction of thighs Only on the basis of in person consultation, a board certified plastic surgeon could answer these questions appropriately.. Generally speaking, most frequent complication of this surgery are irregularities like cellulitis, in particular in patients that already have cellulitis and skin laxity. Good luck.

Answer: Liposuction complications Dear averysakam, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will have some discomfort and pain in early postoperative period but you will be able to walk. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Lower extremity Liposuction Lower extremity Liposuction is technically challenging and a significant number of women(men typically do not get this procedure) are not great candidates because of skin laxity issues. The area where expectations should be set the lowest is the upper inner thighs. This area typically has lots of skin laxity and skin contributes more to contour than fat does. The area can deliver moderately good results especially in young people with tight skin and modest amounts of excess fat. How to resize do fine for true saddle bags. If the problem on the outer thigh is more on the backside of the outer thigh in an hour you are sometimes called the banana roll the results typically are less than patience and hope for. How to resize do fine for true saddle bags. If the problem on the outer thigh is more on the backside of the outer thigh in an hour you are sometimes called the banana roll the results typically are less than patience and hope for. The most common complication is indentations especially a big indentation in the mid inner thigh. This is directly reflected by providers who have insufficient skill and experience doing the procedure. When done under general anesthesia many plastic surgeons do this with patients laying on their back which is in is not an optimal position at all. ideally the procedure should be done with patients laying on their side for both inner and outer thighs. This is much better done with patients awake rather than under general anesthesia. You may or may not be a good candidate for Liposuction. You did not post pictures so we don’t know. It is technically challenging and the outcome as well as the ability to accurately predict the outcome is purely based on the skill and experience of the provider. I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultations for the local board-certified plastic surgeons. Look for the ones who seem to really like doing Liposuction and has the before and after pictures to prove it. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you 50+ sets of before and after pictures of lower extremity liposuction. The procedure can give a good results but it’s more difficult and a significant number of patients are not particularly good candidates. Cellulite is not made worse but is certainly not improved from Liposuction. The biggest variable is skin laxity. If your contour is improved by pulling up on the skin then that represents how much skin is contributing to contour rather than fat. pulling up on the skin above the area of concern does not change the fat distribution whatsoever it just puts the skin under tension. It’s an easy test to demonstrate and differentiate between skin laxity and subcutaneous fat. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
