How can I get rid of my under eye dimple? (photo)

Hello I have a "dimple" under my eye when I smile. It wasn't as terrible looking as a child, but now I'm 35 and I feel like it makes me look older. I'd like a permanent solution to this problem. It really bothers me a lot. Also what is this "simple" called?

This dimple shouldn't be confused with a wrinkle. Dermal filler or fat injection could be used to fill in the indentation, but an in-person consultation would be required to determine this.

A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve this area. We use PRP and stem cells here often. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Under eye dimples or hollows that often develop as we age are called many things but from the photos you have supplied, most would call your hollows, tear troughs.  This problem is very common and is easily treated non-surgically with filler.  For your concern, I generally use Bellafill since it is a long term filler and I have found that it works the best for this area.  As opposed to the other fillers, Bellafill can be placed superficially and this will give you a better, long term result.  I have added a web link to more information about Bellafill and a video about filler safety.
